SWTOR Companion Romance Guide

Nikole from g4tv.com has a new column that proves to be interesting to those who like their gaming news and gossip with a side of fun. First, she brings us this SWTOR Companion Romance Guide which is a great way to see what your romance options are.

Nikole says:

“Star Wars: The Old Republic style=”mso-bidi-font-style: normal;”> can be a tough place to find love; that’s why we made this SWTOR Companion Romance Guide. Your next quest, 10 force-sensitive rakghouls, the perfect armor mods; there are plenty of missions in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and there are just as many potential hook-ups. I have some advice for navigating your way through romantic space. This will be the first, in a series I like to call Rated-Teen Beat: Everything you need to know about gaming’s latest gossip. Let’s dish!

Today we’re going to focus, not just on finding love, but on finding that perfect companion that can be the tank to your healer, if you know what I mean. Am I right, ladies?”

The guide then goes on to explain each of the romance choices you have for each of the classes. Some have more options than others which does seem to be a bit unbalanced but there’s little we can do about that.

Same-sex romance arcs?

Now for those who are wondering (I know you’re out there), we do not have same sex romance arcs yet but they are coming. At the Guild Summit, the developers explained that while they want to bring the players this option, they wanted to do it right. They didn’t want to just tweak the options to work for male or female but instead, they have specific storyline in the works and specific characters who will be written in to have the option of same-sex romance arcs. This is coming in a future patch when they have it all completed.

Personally, I’m glad they’re doing it right and working it into the story in a believable fashion but I’m thinking there are going to be some places who are disappointed if their choice in companion is not one that BioWare writes this option for.

A child of the Nintendo generation, she believes they just don’t make games like they used to but sometimes, they make them even better! While consoles will always be her first love, Lisa spends most of her gaming time on the PC these days- on MMOs and first-person shooters in particular.
