These Knock-Off Star Wars Toys are Hilarious
People love Star Wars. This is a fact as simple as the sky being blue. So it’s no surprise that you will find some unscrupulous (or perhaps just ignorant) companies trying to play on the Star Wars love. That’s exactly what we find in these “Star Wars” toys purchased by wholesale trader Karl Baxter, of Wholesale Clearance UK. But these discount toys that arrived just in time for the new film release weren’t exactly what he expected. These weren’t just knock-offs; these were fakes that seemed to have been designed by someone with no knowledge of the franchise and the results are hilarious (maybe not for Mr. Baxter). Will We See Yoda in a Battlefront DLC?
While it’s true that we feel like they’d do anything to sell Star Wars: Battlefront and the subsequent DLCs, we still find it interesting that we just might see an appearance by Yoda in a future content release. It’s also expected that Kylo Ren will be in the game and we think this is pretty cool as well. Star Wars: Battlefront Real Life Mod Dazzles
Star Wars: Battlefront was always going to be extremely keen on visuals. DICE have made it clear from the beginning that they were going to go for authenticity and that they were going to exploit the Frostbite engine to the fullest in their quest for Star Wars eye candy. Granted, on maximum graphics settings, the game has always been a visual delight, but there are individuals out there who have found ways to push it way past what the official version was supposed to accomplish in this respect. Back in November, a mod surfaced, which was used to produce a few impressive screenshots. Called SweetFX Real Life, the mod makes it possible for the game to run in 4k at 60fps, putting out some truly mind-boggling graphics details. The Oklahoma Science Museum knows how to keep a child’s interest. In fact, I wish I was a kid and I wish I lived in Oklahoma because I would be all over this. On Friday,December 11, Oklahoma Science Museum is hosting a Science Overnight program inspired by the wildly popular “Star Wars” movie franchise. It’s like a big, Star Wars-themed slumber party! Ah, card games… an interesting little pastime that has grown in popularity since Wizards of the Coast put out Magic: The Gathering in 1993. I was still young then and it would be a few years more before I started playing but I still play MTG today. Star Wars Battlefront Launch Infographic
Electronic arts has posted Infographic showing some interesting stats about Star Wars: Battelfront since launch. Interesting enough, less then 1% of all AT-AT’s has been with tow cables, and Boba Fett is the most played hero/villain in the game. X-Wings get almost kill twice as much as Tie Fighters. I bet they did the same comparison with A-Wings vs Tie Interceptors and realized it would just be better for them not to show the stats. These stats should easily show us what needs balanced. Imperial ships suck ass compared to rebel ships. Everyone knows this. Force lightning / Chain lightning is better at killing large groups of enemies than force push is. Makes sense cause more range and hops from person to person. Millennium Falcon has 500k more kills than Slave 1. Both hero ships are OP, but Falcon is slightly more OP because of the shield. In a previous exploit, we were very up front and very public about its existence. SWTOR Pack Changes Coming With the Strategy Alliance Pack
Starting tomorrow after maintenance and patch update, the Strategy Alliance Pack and all upcoming packs will have more chances at armor and mounts. As we moved into the launch of Fallen Empire, the Cartel Market team has been making continuous changes to improve the overall Cartel Market experience. Much of this based on the feedback from those of you right here in the forums. One of the pieces of feedback they received regarding new packs is that they felt a bit lean. With the new Strategy Alliance Pack releasing tomorrow, they will be adding back the second Primary Slot to each pack. This is similar to how previous shipments worked. That means that the contents of this pack will look like: Primary Slot (Mount, Armor) Primary Slot (Mount, Armor) Companion Gift Jawa Junk Thanks everyone, keep the feedback coming as the team looks to continue on improving packs. -eric
SWTOR NiM Loot Issue / Update
Eric Musco took on the official forums, to report that Nightmare loot are not a guaranteed drop from nightmare operations. I have a few updates to pass on regarding the current issues with Nightmare Loot Drops. First, we discovered there is a bug with the percentage chance of a 224 rated item dropping in any of our Nightmare Operations. We plan to address this when we release Chapter 10 (Game Update 4.1) scheduled in February. If we are able to address it sooner, I’ll pass along an update. Aside from that, we realized that we need to make a correction to our Operations and Flashpoints in Fallen Empire blog. Currently it states the following: Nightmare Mode will also be available for all the Operations that had it previously, and will reward the same as the highlighted Hard Mode, as well as the unique mounts and titles available currently. There is an Upset in the Force within SWG Community
Last month there was some drama in the SWG community. We hesitated to even write about it right away, lest we stir the hornet’s nest. It’s also not completely clear what even happened. We suspect only the parties directly involved know all of the truth. That said, there are recordings of the Teamspeak conversation that took place on this subject and people who have come forward since the big blowup to add details. We love Star Wars fan films, as you probably know if you’ve been reading our posts for awhile now, and here is one based on a book that we really wanted to bring to your attention.
