Unfortunately, due to the ongoing work from home requirements across the industry, the game will be further delayed on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. We’ll be back with an update as soon as possible.” The PS4 version of Episode 1 Racer was previously delayed until May 26. Die hard fans can get the old game from Amazon This is another unfortunate consequence of the state of the world today, with the pandemic. When…

Star Wars Smuggler’s Fate

All of this social isolation means I’m spending even more time at home than usual (and that’s saying something) and I’m finding one way I enjoy passing that time is with new videos. And if it’s Star Wars, well, you know I’m gonna watch it. Star Wars fan films are totally my thing. The good, the bad, the ugly – and everything in between! I’ve said it before but there’s something great about even the “bad” fan films. The spirit of Star Wars that goes into each one is special in and of itself. Here’s the latest one I’m enjoying: Star Wars Smuggler’s Fate. It’s just over 10 minutes long and is the final part of a trilogy, so be sure to watch the others first, if you haven’t. While this one is not Hollywood-level acting or videography, it has a charge to it. I also really like the costuming…

Is This the Worst Star Wars Game Ever?

We are all about the Star Wars games here – it’s what our site was started for – and I’ve been a fan for all of my life. I love every Star Wars game I’ve ever seen, pretty much. I like the new games and I like old-school games and anything that brings the magic of Star Wars to a new or broader audience, or that brings us Star Wars in a new way, then I’m all for it. But every now and then, there’s a Star Wars game that’s questionable. I have to ask myself, “Do you like this because it’s a decent game, or just because it has a Star Wars theme?” And this was one of those games: Star Wars Super Bombad Racing. Who remembers this one? I used to play this one as a kid and honestly, I loved it. Maybe young me just didn’t know…

It’s time for another Star Wars fan film and this one is so fantastic! The full length trailer is about 3 minutes long and I’ll embed it for you below, but I highly encourage you to follow this project and keep an eye on it because it’s really amazing. ABOUT THE EPISODE: My name is Shahbaz Sarwar and I’m a man with a dream. A dream of taking my 16 years of accumulated experience from my time in the film industry and take a shot at getting the attention of Lucasfilm and Disney, so that they will meet with me and my team. The goal? To pitch a unique story in the Star Wars universe that will have the scale of Game of Thrones; the drama of Breaking Bad; the meticulousness of The Wire, and the visceral action of “The Raid”. Coming all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark, it seems…

Rogue Seven: A Star Wars Fan Film

I have a real treat for you today. A fan film unlike any other I’ve shared here. And a fan film created by an actual filmmaker from LA. James Martinez recently released a fan-film set in the Star Wars universe titled “ROGUE SEVEN” that is exactly what the pandemic-stricken world needs right now. If you’re looking for an escape to help you get away for a while and immerse yourself in some Star Wars fandom, then this is the film to do it! Ever since the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017, the fan base of thefranchise has never been as divided as it is today. This schism is fueled by anger towards the Sequel Trilogy and this worldwide debate has embedded itself into our social structure. It has gotten to the point where it has become overwhelming for many. Therefore, instead of choosing a side, Los…

Knights Of The Old Republic And Another Voice-Acting Win

If you’re not familiar with one of the most popular Star Wars games of all time, you may not know that Knights of the Old Republic, fondly known as KOTOR, was very well-known for its voice-acting. Here’s something you might not have known: IL HK-47 was not written to be a comedic character. So, if you’ve played the game, you might be going “what?” right now. Kotaku has a piece that explains how this happened. It’s from the Boss Fight Books series, written by journalist Alex Kane. Here’s the full story on how he became a funny character: Darragh O’Farrell was the go-to voice-over (VO) director for Star Wars video game projects, in the LucasArts era and beyond. It was O’Farrell who had the idea to do the full voice-acted recording for the whole game. “It was one of the most ambitious projects that LucasArts or BioWare had ever attempted,”…

‘Star Wars’ Series From ‘Russian Doll’ Co-Creator Leslye Headland in the Works at Disney Plus

In an exclusive interview with Variety, we found out that Disney had something new in the works – a new Star Wars series for Disney Plus from the co-creator of “Russian Doll”, Leslye Headland. I, for one, was a HUGE fan of Russian Doll (Hello? Where’s our Season 2?) and I think this could be a good matchup for the new Star Wars series that is said to be female-centric. The details of the show are being kept secret (of course) but it’s said to take place in a different part of the Star Wars timeline from other projects. If anyone can do a female-centric piece well with strong, likable, relatable female characters, it will be Headland. In addition to her work on “Russian Doll”, she also has writing and directing credits in “Seven Deadly Plays”, “About Last Night”, “Sleeping with Other People”, and “Black Monday” to name a few….

Possible Direction of EA’s New Star Wars Game

EA is working on a new Star Wars game. For those who don’t know, EA has partnered with Disney to have exclusive rights to the Star Wars license until 2023. This means they are the only studio who can make Star Wars games at this time. Some fans aren’t happy about that, but it is what it is and we can’t really do anything to change that. So for now, at least, we have to work with what we’re given and that means embracing EAs role in all of this. Despite some canceled games and a rocky start to Battlefront II, they’re not doing all that bad in the gaming department. What might we see in the future? FlickeringMyth.com speculates on what future Star Wars games we might see. A Star Wars Battlefront III, perhaps? What would that look like? And what would be the benefit to a new game,…

Gold Spammers Compete in a Pandemic-Swept World

Starkiller’s Thoughts When Seeing Darth Vader’s Face Without his Mask On!

Few have ever been able to look upon Darth Vader’s face without his mask. His apprentice, Starkiller, was one of these few. Starkiller struggled with the battle between the light and the dark side and this epic duel between the two of them was monumental. Starkiller had to realize that behind the mask was not a monster or evil creature, but a man, just like him. A man who still had the ability to feel fear and pain. With the mask, Vader was a legend. Behind the mask, he was still a man. His humanity showed through, which had to be a very powerful circumstance for Starkiller. This video from Star Wars Reading Club breaks down the story of how and why this happened, and what Starkiller was thinking when he say Vader sans mask. See it here: What do you think? Was any of this new knowledge for you,…
