SWTOR Around the Blogosphere – August 6 – 2019

What is happening around the internet in the world of SWTOR for the past few weeks? There’s a lot of great news happening in the world of SWTOR and we want to tell you about it, but there are some great people in the community who have already said it best. Let’s take a few moments for a roundup post to highlight these great SWTOR posts online. Here’s a look at SWTOR Around the Blogosphere: First, we have a cool post from Vulkk about SWTOR 6.0 PTS, the Spoils of War. He covers the new class abilities, gear sets and technical items coming with 6.0. Keep in mind that things from a test realm can and do change, but Vulkk is also pretty good about updating regularly and quickly when they do. It’s a good, solid resource to help you know what to expect from the new release. Onslaught PTS…

Introducing the Alliance System in SWTOR

BioWaer Designer Matt Pucevich posted a detailed blog on the alliance system within Star Wars: The old Republic, Knights of the fallen Empire. Check it out: 10.20.2015 Introducing the Alliance System Be it the cheeky Astromech Droid, the stalwart Wookiee partner-in-crime, the ambitious upstart apprentice that is yours alone to mold, or any of the other 40-odd characters found in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ to-date; we all know and love our Companions (especially the chronically under-appreciated ship droids!). Companion characters have always been a big part of our personal stories, and with the upcoming release of the new Digital Expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire, comes an even deeper focus on characters and storytelling. For this reason it only makes sense that we would seek to include our beloved friends (especially the ship droids!!) in that experience. Knights of the Fallen Empire has given us an excellent opportunity to take stock of…

Lego Explanation of the Tank-Heal-Damage Triad- by 6 Year Old

The concept of the tank-heal-damage triad in your typical MMO, including SWTOR, is so easy that a 6-year-old can understand it. It does make you wonder then, why so many people you come across in game seem to have issues with this very basic concept. Anyway, we stumbled across this very cute blog by Jasper, a 6-year old SWTOR fan. This kid needs to meet up with my 5-year-old (soon to be 6) because I think they could really be pals. I also have a Lego/Star Wars fan in my house and this looks exactly like something my two boys would do. Both gamer fans, former WoW players and huge collectors of Lego sets, why not use the very popular toy to explain this gaming concept? On his blog, Jasper says: “If the tank and healers dies, um, the damage dealer will end up dying, because he doesn’t have the…
