Amber took the Forums yesterday informing the community that the test servers will be taking down. It looks like we are close to Game update 2.4 Ladies and gentlemen. PTS 2.4 Update 4 – Patch Notes and Known Issues [Updated: September 5th]

Here are the newest patch notes + known issues form the Public test servers. Personally I find the GTN upgrades to be very good. I have been missing these features. I am also glad to see the armor sets are just placeholders. They are boring and the same for all classes both side. Still hope to see some balance before release, tho. PTS Server Known Issues

Amber Green posted to the official PTS forums the current list of known issues on the public test server. If you currently have characters on the test realms or plan to in the future, you’ll benefit from giving this a read over or at least bookmarking it so that you know what the known issues are. This update came after problems with the servers that also caused the servers to be brought down for a time. There is no reason to continue to report these known issues but if you encounter any bugs or problems other that are not on this list while on PTS, then you should report those. More Datatmining 2.4PTS – Modeldump

As we await Game Update 2.4, we now have some more datamined updates from swtor_miner to share. Here’s a link to my latest Datamining post on 2.4PTS I’m still working on a method for automatically reconstructing ingame models. It’s going to be a long road for that though. But, this morning I went through the weapon/vehicle models from the last few PTS builds and matched them up with their textures. Now, this is by no means exactly how they will appear ingame. As, most models have a bump/displacement map that adds most of the detail to an item, and I’m not loading that. Then, there’s the scrolling UVs which are present on some of these items, that again I couldn’t load. I’m also ignoring the material (how shiny/matte a texture is). Which led to me turning of shading in some models that were too dark, and led to slightly comical…

PTS Closing for 2.3 Testing Prep

  The public test servers are coming down todayto begin the preperation for Game update 2.3. I must admit that this come as a surprise as  it was a very short duration on the PTS. Personally me and my guild did not have   time to test it with Nightmare TFB on live and such. We only really tested the bosses up the Thrasher but couldn’t process further due to the high damage output.   Greetings Testers, The Public Test Server will be coming down tomorrow, June 27th, to begin preparation for Game Update 2.3 testing! Public Test Servers Update june 6/21

Amber Green posted an update regarding updates to the Public Test Servers. BioWare will be patching them up to the weekend, so it’s possible to play and test the servers all weekend long. BioWare reopenen the Public test servers testing  Nightmare Scum & Villainy!  So now it’s time to update your PTS client and test out the new content. Remember to provide provide feedback and bug reports so the develoerps know what to fix. BioWare are closing down the public test servers on March 26. This is off course due to the announcement of Star Wars: The old republic Rise of the Hutt Cartel. PTS update notes – March 6

BioWare deployed a new update to the public test servers yesterday with a new patch to Game Update 2.0.  check out the  full patch notes below.  Annoyingly, many of these changes (Sniper changes, Missile Salvo change, etc.) aren’t new today but were put in a couple days ago. I don’t know why they listed them again. Classes and Combat Jedi Knight Alacrity no longer reduces the channel duration of Force Stasis. Sith Warrior Alacrity no longer reduces the channel duration of Force Choke. Jedi Consular Sage Empowered Throw now also increases the damage dealt by Sever Force. Shadow Force Breach’s accuracy debuff now lasts 30 seconds (up from 18) when Combat Technique is active. Kinetic Combat Bombardment now makes Project generate 15% more threat per point and cost 15% less Force per point while Combat Technique is active. Slow Time now has a 9second cooldown and costs 20 Force. Damage remains…
