This photo was mailed to us along with the SWTOR Class Background Sheets we posted last week. Unfortunately it got lost, but is now it’s found. There is still some confusion about if it is leaked material that the Leakerz guys are behind or if it is PAX material. PC Gamers prints two new screenshots

The latest issue of PC Gamer has a 4 page writeup on Star Wars: The old republic. The article takes up and  angle on how the game will change the MMORPG genre for ever  – some for good and some for the bad. The article also shows 2 new screenshots I don’t believe have been published before. – First one is a screeny of what appears to be an Imperial Agent dual-weilding some sort of daggers and sneaking up on a Cathar (NPC?) from behind. – The second one is a group of 3 Republic characters… a human Smuggler Gunslinger, a human Trooper and a Mirialan Jedi Knight. The Trooper has no helmet on, is huge, and carrying a huge weapon. In front of a Republic base on… maybe Belsavis? There is nothing new revealed in the article apart from the new screens – well maby a  dual-weilding melee Imperial…

3 new SWTOR Screenshots emerge

Gamespot recently posted a few new epic screenshot of Star Wars: The old republic. I really like the second one, were a Darth Vader kind of guy force chokes a foe. The first one is also incredible and makes me think of Empire Strikes back – the part were Luke and Leia looks out the window and the Millenium Falcon sets off to look for Han. Here’s their release with the images: Given that the previous attempt at a Star Wars massively multiplayer online role-playing game didn’t pan out as expected, perhaps we should temper our excitement, but we can’t. With BioWare at the helm, and its proven track record with Knights of the Old Republic (among other excellent RPGs) in tow, we have high hopes. Still, it will be interesting to see if players will actively embrace character classes that don’t use a lightsaber or the Force. So check them all out…

New crafting screenshots

pcgamer has released a few new screenhots of crafting in SWTOR. The screenshots comes with an article about the new crafting informatin we discussed a few days ago. Here is a snip: BioWare’s Blaine Christine was more cagey on TOR’s crafting skills, but unveiled two subsets of the overarching ability: ‘artifice’, presumably used to make weapons and armour, and ‘biochem’ that provides medical and stim-packs. The image of a Sith Warrior beavering away at a workbench packing band-aids into a first-aid kit clearly doesn’t work within Star Wars’ fiction – instead, you can stand at the back and bellow “WORK HARDER” at your friends and minions as they do your nit-picky work for you. Or just leave them to it and get on with other missions. The Old Republic only lets you take one computer friend down with you on missions, and when you’ve packed a buddy off to complete…
