SWTOR: 6.0 changes for Inquisitor and Warriors to possibly hit PTS next week.

SWTOR 6.0 changes for Inquisitor and Warriors to possibly hit PTS next week.

Eric Musco hit the forums yesterday clarifying the games PTS  schedule : Let me add some clarity to our PTS schedule and then I can let you know the current plan for getting hands-on with PTS. So, when we initially talked about when PTS would be available I don’t think we framed it very well. When we stated June, we didn’t necessarily mean playable in June, but that would we would be providing you with in-depth information where you could start providing feedback. Throughout the whole PTS process there are going to be two components: Giving you the details on the PTS forum so that you can provide your thoughts and feedback. Placing those same things as playable on PTS to get your hands-on feedback. Obviously we are at step 1 of that process right now but we definitely understand that you are all very eager to get your hands…

For this post, let’s talk about the Sith Inquisitor and Jedi Consular. This is just a sampling of the changes that are coming with Eternal Throne and are subject to change. Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer Coming from Knights of the Fallen Empire, we felt the that the Sorcerer was in a really good place and so they aren’t receiving a whole lot of changes this Update. One big change that we made with Fallen Empire was to work on increasing the overall mobility and survivability of the Sorcerer. Additionally, we really wanted to separate the Sorcerer as a ranged class from that of the Assassin. To accomplish that goal, we are making the following changes:…

SWTOR Sith Inquisitor Class Story Summary

BioWare posted a Developer Blog named “Ascension To Power” What you are about to read is an excerpt from the official Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia. It will describe an overview of all 3 Acts of the Sith Inquisitor Class story. Although we try to avoid them wherever possible, this excerpt will contain spoilers. But one slave displays incredible cunning and a fearsome talent for the dark side. Begrudgingly instructed by Overseer Harkun, the slave acolyte conquers the trials, dominates a Dashade assassin named Khem Val into servitude, and overwhelms the other students, including a Sith pureblood groomed for success. Update on 3.3 PTS Sorc/Sage Healing Changes

Due to player feedback, the SWTOR Combat Team has a few changes comming up for Sorcerer and Sage on the public test servers. Check it out below: Update on 3.3 PTS Sorc/Sage Healing Changes | 06.08.2015, 10:48 PM Hey everyone, Thank you all for the continued feedback over the weekend. We wanted to take a moment to give you all a preview of Sorcerer/Sage changes that we have planned for the next PTS patch based on your feedback. Below are our intended changes. Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer Consuming Darkness now activates instantly, restoring 50 Force (up from 30). The healing component has been removed. The original design of the ability was never intended to provide significant healing, and by removing the healing component entirely, we are able to restore a greater amount of Force (which helps us address concerns over low Force return). We also hope that removing the healing component from this…

Euan Morton (male Inquisitor) Narrates STAR WARS Tarkin

Now here is a voice that might sound a bit familiar to you. The audio book STAR WARS Tarkin is narrated by Euan Morton, the same guy who make the voice for male Inquisitor in SWTOR. How cool is that little nerd fact? Here’s a little sound bite for you: Now Tarkin is written by James Luceno, who is a champion of the Dark Heroes in the Expanded Universe and has a number of stories out including Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader  and  Darth Plague. Tarkin is a great character and one interesting thing about the story is that the Force is not a part of it at all. While the Dark vs. Light theme is prevalent in Star Wars, it’s also nice to see interesting, compelling stories that don’t overplay these concepts. Tarkin is a story that you’ll likely find yourself getting lost in and it makes sense now why Morton was…

What changes will we see to Inquisitor/Consular with Game Update 3.0? Well, now we have some information to help us answer this question. Most of the livestream went over utilities and disciplines and Dulfy has a great breakdown of the whole thing for us. You can see SWTOR Disciplines Calculator built by swtor_miner. It is a smart heal (picks the lowest HP % targets to heal). There is a trait now to allow Cloud Mind to increase your damage reduction by 25% for 6 seconds. Bubble stun is now an utility and available to all sorcs. Lighting Barrier – increases your Force Barrier amount by 10% only (down from 20%). Now, as we draw closer to the date, we get more information on just what we can expect. For the base Class changes, please see the Shadow blog here. As for Sage, here is a snippet from the post: Sages have seen some changes to their baseline ability package. Deliverance is now only accessible to Seer Sages, but all Sages now have Rejuvenate. Force Studies now increases the Sage’s maximum Force pool up to 600, rolling in the extra 100 Force from the now cut Mental Longevity skill. All Sages can now train the following passive ability: Inner Strength: Reduces the Force consumed by Force…

Star Wars Episode VII villains may have just been revealed…and their descriptions sound very familiar!

According to an article that appeared on IO9.com, Star Wars Episode VII villains may have just been revealed. Even though the website quotes other sources, we couldn’t help notice the similarity of the rumored villains with some of the elements we see from SWToR. Needless to say, these rumors have not been confirmed so they should be taken with a grain of salt. IO9 quotes “Latino review” in stating that the main villains of the upcoming Star Wars movie are the Sith Inquisitors who are the defenders of the Sith Order. The movie will tie Darth Vader with the Inquisitors and highlight their relationship to the former. Obviously, the Sith Inquisitor is a very familiar figure in the SWToR universe with a very interesting story line. Another similarity with the original Knights of The Old Republic (KoToR) game is the villain’s description that Io9 retrieved from “Indie Revolver”. According to the latter: He’s tall and thin…

Assassin / Shadow Top 3 Answers

Here are the top 3 Assassin / Shadow Answers: Madness in PvP The Madness Assassin has been grossly revamped from its original state pre-xpac, which in turn has caused many players to become repulsed by its current playstyle. Due to the changes, Madness also suffered a dramatic hit in PvP, losing access to its Insta-Whirlwind utility and the loss of Maul procs which also goes to hurt its burst potential. In addition, the spec suffers from being far too easy to kill (having no true stealth benefits) with no real execution power to actually down targets beyond fluff damage, therefore making it seemingly a useless fighter on the field in comparison to what other classes / specs can do. With no team utility, lack of kill power and absurdly low survivability, what exactly is the purpose of a Madness Assassin on the battlefield? Are there any plans to alter or…

We haven’t been posting many SWTOR builds for a while, but here is a new one from. from swtorsavior.com. This time we take a look at a Sith Inquisitor Assassin Build For PVE/Leveling. The build is a good mix of damage and survivorbility as well.  Sith Inquisitors in SWTOR can become one of two advanced classes at level 10, a Sith Assassin (DPS / Tank Class) or a Sith Sorcerer (DPS / Healer). The Sith Assassin uses a double bladed light saber they use to do impressive melee damage. The assassin class also make good tanks, they are more of an avoidance based tank but do make use of their force skills and shields to tank. Assassins have three trees to choose talents from: Darkness (DPS tree), Deception (DPS tree) and Madness (a shared DPS tree shared with the Sith Sorcerer Class). As always I I will recommend you to get…

SWTOR Cosplay Comicbook

It’s time for another feature of SWTOR Cosplay swagger! This one is a special treat that has been out there for a while but most of us never even knew about it. It’s short, so take your time appreciating all the work that went into it, from costume design, backdrop, photography, post-production effects, etc, etc. In my opinion this is total genius and something to learn from for all Cosplayers. With that being said … We present you Issue One of Star Wars: The Old Republic – Arandani Comic: First Encounter, by Arandani Studios. But before all that, we flashback to Captain Kadd Aradan doing a drop on Ord Mantell moments right before the ambush. That’s all for now. A very enticing introduction, with blasters, double bladed lightsabers , Cathers, Sith Inquisitors and Scoundrels. What more can you ask for? More issues? Hell yeah! I really hope they make more,…
