Star Wars Battlefront II – Release Notes – Patch 1.1

DICE released a new patch for Star Wars: Battlefront today. The patch is 2.51 GB, and I expect we will find some interesting files in there just waiting to be datamined in near future. The patch introduce many bug fixes and balance issues, but also new content such as new hero starships and Mos Eisley at night as a new map. Latest Star Wars: Battlefront DLC, solves Plot hole in “The Last Jedi”

The guys over at NME has apparently found that the latest downloadable content for Star Wars: Battlefront II answers some of the questions raised during Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Check it out: An apparent plot hole in Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been solved in the downloadable content (DLC) for Star Wars: Battlefront II. Fans were left confused after the opening sequence of The Last Jedi showed Resistance fighters planting bombs inside the First Order’s Dreadnought ship, without offering any prior explanation as to how they knew where to leave the explosive arsenal. But that very question has now been solved by Battlefront II’s ‘Resurrection’ DLC – and it makes a whole load of sense. Battlefront II‘s DLC reveals that game protagonist Iden Versio and her daughters obtained the plans to the Dreadnought and “transferred” them to General Leia Organa in an attempt to help the Resistance. Star Wars Battlefront 2 was the most downloaded game on PlayStation Store last month

Sony has announced over at the The PlayStation Blog  that Star Wars Battlefront II was the most downloaded game December 2017. That’s a step up, as it was the second most downloaded game November last year, only topped by Call of Duty: WWII. That is quite interesting as the game has been heavily criticized by many gamers since its release. It still appears that the game have won the holiday sales, and made a fair income for it self. For those of us old enough to remember the original, Battlefront II might be confusing. You see, there is Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront (way to be original with the names, right?) Star Wars Battlefront 2 Economy Change, Free Content Planned

DICE have finally broke the silence and updated the community on future updates to the game. Here is the break down: End-of-round payout increase: EA promises that every activity will now see an increase in credits earned across the board, and top players will also receive an additional increase in credits won post-match. 3X Credit increase daily in Arcade Mode: Players have been hitting the daily cap in Arcade Mode, which is why EA has increased the payout to give players more of an incentive to play. Daily login crates increase: Players will now receive additional crafting materials every time they log in for the for the day. Star Wars Battlefront II update 1.0 is now available to download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It adds a lots of gameplay tweaks, and bug fixes. Check it out below: Reduced the amount of Score and Battle points gained by using the Disruptor Shot mod for the NT-242 when used against vehicles. Reduced the amount of Score and Battle points gained by using the LAAT Gunship against vehicles. Reduced the amount of damage the Stinger Pistol ability does against Heroes & Villains. Boba Fett can no longer capture objectives while hovering high above the objective. Battlefront 2 Microtransactions Are Gone – For Now

Players may have won the spat with EA over microtransactions in Battlefront II, but it’s not over. EA and DICE announced they would temporarily turn off the feature and many players rejoiced, counting this one a victory. However, the announcement made it very clear that loot boxes would be returning at some point in the future. “The ability to purchase crystals in-game will become available at a later date, only after we’ve made changes to the game,” said the statement. “We’ll share more details as we work through this.” So, this brings forth a couple of questions: How could they bring this back in a way that won’t create outrage? How will they recover from the death of microtransactions?
