Youtube User MrSamDoolan recently made a basic crew skills guide designed to help out newer players who don’t completely understand the concept of crew skills and what they do. Crew skills are TOR’s equivalent to professions from other MMO’s. It focuses on sending your companions out to perform tasks for you in order to progress your skill in your chosen crew skills. Link to the linked crew skills image can be found in his latest blog post so make sure to check it out! Also remember to follow MrSamDoolan on Twitter. Interested in SWTOR Movies? The Skyrim “Arrow in the Knee” meme was all over the internet for the last few month of 2011. So much that gamers now grit their teeth every time someone beats this dead horse. Let’s give this old meme an official farewell and introduce a new one from Star Wars: The old republic. Its like the arrow to the knee reference but this guy got a lightsaber… to the lungs… [VIA kotaku]
Youtube user TheDrunkAndThePwned have uploaded two hilarious movies about the dark side to the Force. It’s funny how well crafted and deserving insults can be extremely funny, but please don’t direct this towards other players 😉
You discovered a bug in the game to interrupt casting I should tell BioWare and not make it public – 50 Lightside points I should tell everyone in the public forums – 50 Darkside points Keep it to myself and get world first on some boss who is a bitch because of casted abilities and not enough interrupts – 150 Darkside points, ladies Now ad this and your golden! No clue if this is bannable, but I’m sure that we got BioWares attention now, and they will hot fix it asap. What ever way you look a it, this is some serious funky tanking! The guild Starfleet Dental, used their new years eave creating this little jewel of a machinima. The video for A Wasted Year is pretty spot-on for the material and keeps pace with the music fairly well. I was not aware that someone made a polka version of ZZ Tops ” give me all your loving” and I’m not sure I aprove of it either though. My favorite part is at the end, when they all break out into fireworks and dancing. It’s rare that videos make me wish I could be included in that game play. But if I’d had an invite to that party, I definitely would have been there with bells on. Interested in SWTOR Movies? We have new movies most weekdays here on swtorstrategies! thenoobistcolony has uploaded one of the best free credits guide I have seen so far. In this guide he goes through how to make money on the galactic trade network by using alts. This guide covers all the basic stuff in Auction house domination as we know it from the early mmorpg’s This SWTOR Galactic Trade Network Guide should help you to be successful at the good ol’ auction house (GTN for now). The GTN can be fun and rewarding… but it can also be annoying at times. Using the auction house is pretty common sense, but a lot of people get into trouble by being impatient or by trying to make “quick” gold. In this guide I’ll give you information on making gold from selling:
Here is a quick tutorial for you on Slicing. Slicing is one of the four Gathering Skills which involves accessing secured computer systems and lockboxes to acquire valuable data and rare schematics. aikiwoce from reddit did a pretty need guide on Maximizing Slicing Returns. You can read it below the video. Basically try to stick to these 4 rules while slicing: 1. Try not to queue anything less than a Bountiful Yield mission. Even Bountiful Yield missions 2 or more tiers below your current one have higher yields than moderate/abundant ones at your current slicing level. The mission Yields go Wealthy (discovery purple) > Prosperous (discovery blue) > Rich & Bountiful & Abundant & Moderate. Mission Discoveries for slicing don’t seem to pay off, so avoid unless you want augments. 2. If you don’t have a Bountiful or Rich Yield Mission available, queue a lower class mission. 3. Try to stagger…
The guild Section Eight have started a little youtube series, where they run through each flashpoint, and talk about raiding, flashpoints, and how to play your role in the game. These videos are great for beginners, and people who are new to raiding. Those who are experienced hardcore raiders probably won’t learn as much, but they still might enjoy the content. Anywho, take a look, and let us know what you think!
Early Access starts in a few days, and not much information has been gathered on crafting. Here is a quick concise guide for Biochem & Bioanalysis. Arguably the best crafting profession for both hardcore PvP’ers and Raiders alike. Give it a look if you wanna be better prepared at launch or if you just enjoy male narrated guide videos. Biochem – Biochem is the skill involved in crafting medical supplies, performance-enhancing chemical serums and biological implants. Biochemists can create medpacs to restore health, stimulants (single-use injections) that provide a boost to physical abilities, and biological implants that enhance combat prowess by stimulating neural networks and regulating brain stem functions. Biochemists can reverse engineer their crafted implants and possibly discover new ways to improve implant creation. The gathering skill Bioanalysis provides crafting resources for Biochem. As of Launch the Mission skill Diplomacy will sometimes provide rare supplies used in Biochem recipes.
