You know how we love Star Wars games and we know you do too. Now EA is giving some indication that we might have some more Star Wars games on the way soon. CFO Blake Jorgensen said this week that Battlefront, mobile game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, and free-to-play MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic did "extremely well" in 2015 and will continue to perform well in the time ahead. (via Gamespot) He then goes on to say that the sky is the limit for Star Wars games and the brand, which really is not a surprise to anyone at this point. EA has the license to the brand for the next 10 years and with the new films coming out as well, we can bet they will do all they can to make the most of this opportunity.

"We see it as a great start--building a strong base of people that want to play in the Star Wars universe," Jorgensen said about those three games during a speaking event at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference in San Francisco. "And then leveraging it over time with action-oriented games, future Battlefront first-person shooter style games, new mobile games.

He goes on to talk about how they already have several Star Wars: Battlefront sequels planned and Amy Hennig (Uncharted director and writer) is heading the development on a Star Wars game. It's rumored to be an open-world title but we don't know much about this yet. He also mentioned two unannounced games and hinted that we will see progressional growth and teasers about these games in the coming months. With all the records the new movie broke in the box office, I don't think anyone will be surprised to see Disney and Electronic Arts try to milk this Star Wars craze for all its worth. However, this could be a very good thing for Star Wars fans if they give us great content.

"We've got a couple of things up our sleeve that we haven't talked about yet but you'll probably see them teased over the next six months," Jorgensen said.

So let's stay tuned for what may be soon to come!
