I just love when players get creative with videos surrounding the game. I also love it when players get creative with their recruiting techniques. I think one reason for this is that I have been in charge of recruiting in many games and communities in which I played a serious role. In my WoW guild, I handled recruiting, as well as when my WoW guild moved to SWTOR. I also handled recruiting in a ranked/leadership position for a TF2 community I was part of for some time. I know all about the unique challenges that can come with recruiting.
I know how hard it is when you want to encourage recruiting without spam, how hard it is to find the right people suited to your community or guild, how challenging it can be to find new, creative ways of advertising that you are accepting members and showing the benefits of why someone should choose your guild over another. You might get flack from some people who don't like you recruiting and you might also get those really eager people who jump to join up but might not turn out to be such a great fit. It can be a lot of work. Because I have personal experience in this in multiple games and communities, I think I appreciate it even more when I see a guild doing a great job at recruiting in a new, fun, or unique way. That's exactly what this video displays so I just had to share it with you.
The Imperial Army is a Guild in Star Wars: the Old Republic and right now, they are looking for new members. Check out this awesome recruitment video.
So there you go, a guild to join if you're on that server. In fact, that recruitment video just might be convincing enough to make someone want to roll a new toon on that server just to be able to join up with them, right?
