Star Wars: Battlefront community manager Mat Everett (aka Sledgehammer) took on the official BF2 forums today, and posted a list of bugs that the devs currently are aware of. There are no timeframe on when they will be fixed, but they are on the todo list and the team is looking into them The list will be updated as items are resolved. New Star Wars Action Title From Respawn Confirmed
During EA’s latest conference call, it was confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront 2 sales didn’t go as well as expected. Apparently it has sold around 7 mio. copies of the game, which is 3 mio. less then expected. At the same conference call we got a firm release date window for the new Star Wars game from Respawn. EA CEO Andrew Wilson says that the new Star Wars game will drop in Fiscal 2020, which means it will release before March 2020. Though there’s still few details about the new Star Wars game what we do know is that it will be a third-person action-adventure set in the Star Wars Universe and will be a joint collaboration between EA and LucasFilm. Here is an interesting rumor that made the news yesterday. “A reliable source close to Microsoft” with reports of “internal shifts” told Polygon , that Microsoft is creating the necessary situation for an acquisition of Electronic Arts, Valve and Korean outfit PUBG Corp. The reason for the buy up should be to get more exclusives games to the XBOX One. A large acquisition of this nature, especially of publishing titan EA, would be a substantial step in bolstering Microsoft’s gaming software division. Buying Steam would alleviate their problems with the Windows Store. EA is about a 25 billion dollar company. Valve is not a publicly traded company but it is estimated to be about 10 billion dollar company. SWTOR: Andronikos, Risha, and Corso return missions released in 5.7
Game update 5.7 sees the return of Andronikos, Risha, and Corso for Inquisitors and Smugglers. But there is a catch. Unless you finished Unfortunately, there isn’t much other than a cutscene with some dialogues. You will need to have finished Knights of the Eternal Throne before the new mission will appear in your Companions & Contacts. To get Andronikos you need to be Inquisitor, and to get Risha/Corso you need to play Smuggler, or the missions won’t appear. Electronic Arts downgraded by Morgan Stanley on disappointing ‘Star Wars’ Sales
Morgan Stanley downgraded Electronic Arts from Overweight to Equalweight with a price target of $120.00 (from $126.00). Analyst Brian Nowak comments: “Recent disappointing Star Wars Battlefront 2 third party data (NPD and GfK ) cause us to lower our Star Wars unit estimate from 13mn in F3Q to 10mn. These lower unit expectations flow down to the bottom line.” I find this quite interesting as Star Wars: Battlefront was the most downloaded playstation game in december 2017. Most analysts also remains optimistic. Of the 19 brokerages covering EA, 16 rate the shares a “buy” or “strong buy.” In addition, EA’s average 12-month price target of $128.52 represents a 16% premium from the stock’s current perch, and is in uncharted territory for the shares.
