New Star Wars Comic Explores Key Planet in the Last Jedi

The new Star Wars comic Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Storms of Crait #1 is set to explore the key planet in Star Wars: the Last Jedi. This special, one-shot comic will be released right after the film on December 27th. It’s going to explore Crait, a mineral planet that looks like it will be a battleground between the Resistance and the First Order. Honestly, it looks really interesting, especially for comic fans. So, what’s it all about and what does it have to do with the film? It will be written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker (Star Wars: Join The Resistance) with art by Mike Mayhew (Star Wars, The Star Wars). The basic plot of the comic revolves around Luke and Leia during the Galactic Civil War as they head to Crait in search of finding a new base for the Rebel Alliance. The editor of the comic, Jordan D. White, says this about the new…

Marvel Games VS Star Wars Games

As you know, I am a big fan of Star Wars so I try to get my hands on every Star Wars game that comes out, or at least give myself the opportunity to plan them. I imagine you are also a fan since you’re here reading this. What you might not know is that I am also a Marvel fan. I’ve been a fan of comics since I was a young girl (weren’t most of us?) and I’ve also tried to play as many of the Marvel games as I could. Over the years, we’ve been given many Marvel games and Star Wars games to try out, not all of them adding up equally. Let’s face it, some of them have just flopped. We have talked about as much here on the site before, in regard to Star Wars games. But Marvel has their share of flops too. When…

Thank You Dark Horse Comics

We love Star Wars and we love comics. As fans, it can be difficult to picture a world without Star Wars and quite frankly, why would we want to? But such a time did exist and we have one name to thank for helping end that dark era in Star Wars history: Dark Horse EUCantina.net brings us some interesting news about Dark Horse Comics this week: This week marks the final scheduled release in the Expanded Universe, or as it has been rebranded, Legends time line.  Dark Horse comics has the unique privilege of closing it out with the final issue in the Legacy series. MMO Speak- Do You Know Your Lingo?

It’s an interesting topic… one we’ve actually mentioned here before but one that we sometimes forget about. Online games have their own lingo. We can break that down even more and say MMORPGs have their own speak and SWTOR has its own that is specific to it. Someone who is very new to the game or new to the work of online gaming would have a hard time knowing what the heck we’re talking about. In fact, some have said that gamer jargon sounds like a foreign language to the untrained ear. Can you imagine it? All the talk about “trash” and “DPS” and doing “FPs”? People are likely to look at you like you’re crazy. But in the gamer world, we know just what these things mean (or at least most of them). Do you ever think back to when you first started playing a certain game or maybe…

It’s official: Star Wars comics will return to Marvel in 2015

Marvel will publish new “Star Wars” comic books beginning in 2015, the company announced yesterday. This means Dark Horse Comics is losing the licensing deal its had for over 20 years, but give Dark Horse the time to wrap up storylines in current series. Its first was Tom Veitch and Cam Kennedy’s “Dark Empire,” in 1989. The first Star Wars comics were originally published by Marvel in the ’70s based on the original “Star Wars” trilogy for nine years, starting in 1977. “Star Wars #1″ sold more than 1 million copies. Now the rights have returned to Marvel, which plans to release its first new-new Star Wars comics and graphic novels in 2015. Perhaps uncoincidentally, 2015 is also the year that J.J. Abrams’ yet-untitled Star Wars film is scheduled to hit theaters. Here is a snippet from the press release sent out: The Walt Disney Company’s Lucasfilm Ltd. and Marvel…
