Hammerhead-class cruiser from KotOR/SWTOR canonized in Star Wars Rebels
Here you can see some great pics from Star Wars Rebels. Transport ships based on Hammerhead capital ships from Knights of the Old Republic and Thranta Class Frigates from Star Wars the Old Republic, as you can see below. While it looks like the design is reused, it’s not all exactly the same. One might presume that over 3,000 years the design is obsolete as a military ship and now makes better use as transport. That would make sense, as so much can change in that time period but for many fans, it’s nice to see the familiar design of the ships from SWTOR and KOTOR. The tech in SWTOR/KOTOR was always more advanced than modern day Star Wars also, at least when it comes to fleets. If you look closely, you’ll see they are just inspired by the Hammerheads of KOTOR and SWTOR era. They’re not exactly the same thing….

Out main man for SWTOR – Eric Musco – made a post on the official forums regarding the event schedule for January 2016 Updated Event Schedule | 01.08.2016, 07:11 PM Hey folks, During the month of December, it was our goal to run all of our recurring events week over week. Unfortunately we hit a bug related to our scheduling and some of them didn’t run properly, including the Rakghoul Plague. We have isolated the issue and will have it fixed in Patch 4.0.4 on Tuesday. With that, we wanted to adjust the event schedule for January to give everyone an opportunity to run all of our events that they missed in December. A number of the issues being reported are not, in fact, bugged. The big one is Iresso. While Iresso is not alone in not acknowledging your romance, he has become the name surrounding the whole situation. In this case, there is a bug – the romance variables for some of the pre-KOTFE companions are being improperly assessed, leading to the appearance that they aren’t romanced even if they are. Sithmas Cooking: Building a Gingerbread Imperial Ship Christmas has passed but this idea is so awesome, we think it’s not too late to do it. In fact, we think it’s never too late to do it and what better idea to use up all that extra gingerbread you might have on hand this season? A plain old gingerbread house simply won’t do for a Sith. No, this Sithmas, they needed to build a gingerbread Imperial warship. First, they created a paper template from which to cut their gingerbread pieces. Then, they cut pieces from the template and baked them, then piecing them together to match the paper model. It was a messy project (which you will see from the images) but it sure looked like a lot of fun. Even the imperfections seem to make it better, in my opinion. It looks like a great way to spend an afternoon….
SWTOR 14th Most Played Game in November
While it saw a bit of a dip in the month of November, SWTOR is still in the top 20 most played games, according to Raptr. It was ranked at number 14 for this past month, just below Guild Wars 2 and above Diablo III. It’s above StarCraft II on the list for that month and only beat by behemoths like World of Warcraft, DOTA 2 and Minecraft. League of Legends still dominates the top of the list and CS:GO is also hanging on to a top spot. So what does this mean and why should you care? An Absolutely AMAZING SWTOR Christmas Present!
If you wanted something really awesome for Christmas, this would have made a killer present! How about the idea of having an action figure/ model of your own SWTOR character? As you can see, that is a 3D printed version of this person’s character that was given as a surprise gift. After Redditors begged to know where and how this was done, the poster, Dentface, provided a little more info about it. “Details are scare, since it was a surprise gift. I remember that initial launch date of SWTOR very vividly. Here at the site, we had been preparing for December 20, 2011 for quite some time. I was also anticipating the birth of a child and at that point, we were wondering which would come first – my baby or SWTOR. Turns out SWTOR launched just two days before my little one was born and I was back home and ready to enjoy some gaming in between feedings along with everyone else who had been anxiously awaiting the big premiere. Petition for Group Content in SWTOR
Many fans of SWTOR have expressed their interest in seeing Bioware give us more group content. Some want to see it so badly, they’ve started a petition to Bioware to add more new group content to the game. While some fans argue that Bioware has been listening on the forums and even on Reddit, always staying in tune with what the players want, so a petition isn’t really needed, it still appears the petition was done with respect toward Bioware and not at all bashing them. Havok Trooper Cosplay by LazyAardvark
You know how we love to bring you fan-created stuff and cosplay. (I live for reporting on these things!) So here’s another we adore. A SWTOR fan named LazyAardvark posted a great Havok Trooper cosplay that we really wanted to share with you. He says he’s been working on it for a few months and we can definitely see why. This armor is so realistic, it looks like it should be on the set of a movie. One thing we really liked was the worn, battled look it has. LazyAardvark explains how this was achieved: “The battleworn look was done with pastel chalk and a magic wash which comprised of acryllic paint, floor polish, and water, i also did some low lighting in the recesses to make the details pop out.” We think This is pretty awesome! SWTOR: News on the Item Stack Resale Exploit
Eric Musco has some updates from the swtor devs over at Bioware,regarding the Item Stack exploit. Apparently more than 500 accounts have being perm banned for now. When you’ve spent a lot of time in a game, and within a community, you start to think of these people as your friends. Some of them even as family. Although you may not have ever met in person, the bonds you from with these online friends is real. Some, however, do go on to meet in person. Romances have budded from online gaming, and lifelong friendships have been formed. This is why it is always so sad when we lose one of our own. Putting a Freeze on Your SWTOR Account
What if you had an emergency and you knew you would not be able to play your SWTOR account for an extended period of time but you’d already paid for your subscription? That is exactly what happened to one player and Bioware stepped up to offer a solution. Between this thread and the ones linked in the OP, I think there are two main questions you are looking to have addressed. Will I need to complete currently available alert Missions to unlock future alert Missions? As of right now, the answer to this is yes. Inside of each Alliance Companion type (Military, Underworld, etc), the Companion recruitment alerts are very much looked at like a Mission chain. Generally, you must complete one alert Mission before you will receive the next. Note that you only need to complete the Mission itself, not necessarily recruit any Companion associated with it.
