SWTOR PTS Update: Armor Weight Restrictions removed from Outfit Designer
Tait Watson posted an update from the public test servers. BioWare will be removing armor weight restrictions from the upcoming Outfit Designer. As we understand it, this will mean that light armor classes can now wear heavy armor etc in the outfit designer and heavy armor classes can wear light armor. SWTOR Firebrand PvP Armor Animations
Along with Kell Dragon armor, they also updated the Firebrand PvP shells from Ranked Warzones with similar animation effects in patch 2.2. Dulfy does what she does best and made us some great new videos showing the animations. They are really similar to the Kell Dragon armor but they’re red instead of blue. It’s cool but not much different from the PvE sets, minus the colors. I think it looks better on some than others. Preview of SWTOR Armor Dyes
We already told you about how armor dye kits are coming to SWTOR. This is a point of excitement for many players who are looking forward to the chance to change their gear or wear gear they love with the colors they want. While some of the gear is not eligible to be dyed, there is still a lot of flexibility when it comes to changing your look. This is just one more way that Bioware is moving forward with their “customization update” and giving players some of what we have been asking for all along. With game update 2.0 – Rise of the Hutt Cartel live on the public test servers, we finally get the chance to see all the awesome new armor and weapon artwork. The Smuggler armor is sweet. The agent is cool, but I LOVE that Bounty Hunter helmet. Looks like the helmet from old Boba Fett concept art. SWTOR Planetary Social Armor/Outfits
Are you getting bored with your planetary social armor/outfits? Do you want to make more of an impression when you drop by the towns after running Flashpoints? Just want something fun that not everyone else will have? Then you’re in luck. Most of the Star Wars: The Old Republic planets offer players social outfits that you can mold to meet your specific taste. Here are some of the STWOR outfits you can acquire listed in the order of Social rankings you need to have for each of them: Dromund Kaas & Coruscant– you’ll find the highest class of society on the capital planets and with a Social ranking of just “1”, this is where you can pick up formal suits and elegant dress outfits. 1.2 New Tier Armor Stats
If you’re looking for info on the new 1.2 Tier Armor Stats but you’re not in the public test realms, you’re in luck. Dulfy from dulfy.net has posted an article on MMO Mechanics that gives you a preview of the PvP War Hero Armor set. Dulfy says: Note that this is a preview of the stats and not the looks. Update on End-game Gear and Customization
Have you made it to 50 yet? Are you happy with the end-game gear and customization options in SWTOR? If you’re not, then you’re not alone. Many players have already expressed that they are not real happy with the gear and the customization options that are available post-50. Some people think the end game armor sets that BioWare has designed are ugly and then other people just don’t like the idea of BioWare being the one to decide what their end-game gear will look like or the idea that they will look just like every other player of their class. Some people just want more customization and more options. So BioWare has given an answer to these please and complaints. Social Armor Sets – Sith
Social armor sets are another one of those things about SWTOR that helps set it apart from other MMORPGs and makes it a little more fun. Here is a image that shows us what the social armor sets for the Sith look like. While the quality is not the best, the creator still took the time to get all those shots of the armor for us in one location so you can see them. If you want to travel all over the planets and see them all for yourself or see exactly what they will look like on your character, you can do so. Not everyone got far enough into the beta testing/ game testing of SWTOR to be able to see level 50 gear. You may not have ever even seen a level 50, much less achieved the level cap for yourself.
