TOR TV: Republic Trooper Tribute – Burn it Down

This video might contain *Spoilers* Do not watch if you don’t want spoilers!!! This video is a few month old now, but it is definitely still worth a watch.     The video is uploaded to youtube by SaiTorrsVideos and  piece together most of the trooper  cut-scenes from the storyline’s act II and act III. Mix that with Linkin park and you got a good time 🙂 I have a level 50 trooper and I personally enjoyed the story. Trooper story perfectly nails the life of a soldier and the hard choices one is forced to make. Troopers get some pretty hard ones during the 3 Chapters. At times it took me over an hour just to make a decision; that’s how much I was into the story.

SWTOR Trooper Vanguard PVP Build To Help You In Warzones!

SWTOR Trooper Vanguard PVP Build

Today we have another build from www.swtorsavior.com and this will probably be one of the last ones until we update them all for the 1.2 patch. This build is for the Trooper Vanguard and this actual class makes for a good Tank/DPS player on the warzone. The most effective way to play is to lure enemies to attack you taking the attention from the healers and the DPS and then ideally the heavy hitters will finish them off. So for all intents and purposes this class makes a good support class on the warzones. If you have no idea how your build should look then here is a level 10-50 build you can use: SWTOR Trooper Vanguard PVP Build: A couple of things to note with this build and how to use it: You should use Storm to closer the distance between you and the enemy and then follow it with…

SWTOR Trooper Commando Build For PVP – Works With Patch 1.2!

SWTOR Trooper Commando PVP Build

Today we have another build from www.swtorsavior.com and this one is a PVP build for the Trooper Commando. It is a DPS build and you can actually play as either DPS or healing as a Trooper but we are told that a healing build will follow shortly! Here is the build: SWTOR Trooper Commando Build: The Trooper Commando has a respectable amount of utility and damage output when it comes to DPSing in PvP. The mainstay of your damage output will come from Grav Round and Demolition Round, which will also help out the rest of your team by lowering the armor of your target. You’re going to want to be using Armor-piercing Cell as your weapon buff, so make sure that it is always on. Layer a Hammer Shot in between each skill to manage your cells and maximize your dps. Mortar Volley and Hail of Bolts should only ever…

TOR TV: Trooper lvl 1 – 5 playthrough with commentary

Jesse from OMFGaming have a new video up showcasing some SWTOR Trooper Gameplay. This time he plays the first 5 levels while commentating on it. As last time he get’s a little annoying at times, Like I don’t see why has has to use 8 minutes choosing how his character should look. While that being said, it’s still a great video, and not a bad way to spend a good hour. Especially if you want to play the trooper when Star Wars: The old republic comes out next month.

“So how was the weekend beta?” My friend Vash was always had questions about The Old Republic though he had no intention of playing.“Crowded. A lot of trash talking. An average day in any other game really.”“So what class did you play for your blog?”“The class you wanted to play after seeing the “Hope” trailer. Trooper.” Welcome back to another installment of Intergalactic Intel. This week we’re talking about the trooper. A powerful ranged class for the Galactic Republic. Two reminders before we begin I’m looking for a co-host for my new Old Republic podcast, and these reviews are only levels 1-16 so classes may change drastically to level 50.  Story:Maggot! Bioware’s Charles Boyd Shares Intel About The Story Of The Trooper

It’s a great day for interviews because the folks over at Republic Trooper also have an interesting piece with BioWare’s Charles Boyd that gives us some real insight and intel on the Trooper. Charles is the lead writer at Bioware Austin for the Trooper class in Star Wars: The Old Republic so he is the go-to guy for anything Trooper related. He has real info on the story arc, inspirations, romance arcs, and even some origin information about a certain Trooper you may know from the TOR cinematics! This is really cool because Republic Trooper was able to sit down and ask some one-on-one questions for the rest of us. Example questions: Republic Trooper: Are there any particular sources that you drew inspiration from for the Trooper Storyline?RT: When compared with the other class storylines how high is the surprise factor throughout the Trooper story arc?RT: Are you guys already…

Republic Trooper checks in from PAX

RepublicTrooper.com is at PAX Prime and they are updating their site with exciting first impressions from the events. First up is a great article of the Trooper class based on their hands-on experience of the game at PAX. If you’re interested in playing a Trooper, learning more about the Trooper or just learning more about the game, then this is worth the read and then some. Highlights: “From the beginning Bioware has gone with what it has calls “stylized realism” for the overall art style of the game. While parallels can be drawn between the feel of the TOR’s graphics and that of other titles already on the market, I believe that those run more in the vein of color palette than actual art style. The game clearly has its own unique and brilliantly clean look about it.” Oooo, this is the kind of stuff we like to hear. Don’t…

PvP – Trooper gameplay

TotalBiscuit uploaded a Trooper gameplay video, showing some nice PVP action from this years Gamescom. I can be totally enthralled by anything as long as TB is commentating, whether it be sports, video games, or peanut butter jar opening. Also some very interesting points on immersion. I frequently got kind of bored when fighting in other rpg games, where you just hit attack, maybe do some skill attacks, but it’s just basically watching attack animation for a little bit. There’s so much going on in SWTOR, and you can either find cover or move to a better position, instead of just sit there and watch animations. Absolutely love this game already. While the Trooper was being played well for the most part, I still kept yelling at my TV, ‘Stop moving into melee range you moron!’
