Star Wars: The Old Republic Cosplay

As we await the December 20th release of SWTOR, we look for new ways to entertain and occupy ourselves. We are constantly on the lookout for really cool Star Wars and SWTOR stuff to pass on to you, our dear readers, and this is a pretty cool find. Spanish cosplayers Shanoa and Erikku-kun made themselves as Satele Shan and Sith Pureblood and it’s some of the best, realistic cosplay we’ve seen on SWTOR so far. Shanoa also said that she has been lucky to find a fabric that looks pretty similar to the original one. The cool blue lightsaber was made by their friend Obi. Shanoa says, “I really like the Star Wars TOR trailers and I’m looking forward to playing this game.” You and me both girl! The Lost Suns Issue 3 Preview

If you’re following the SWTOR: The Lost Suns comic series, you’ll be excited to hear that Newsarama has a full, 6 page preview of the comic so you can check it out for yourself. I have been hooked on the series since I got the first issue, hand-signed, in person from Alexander Freed himself. You don’t even have to be a traditional comic fan to appreciate the story of these comics. The series is written by BioWare Senior Writer Alexander Freed and it follows the story of Theron Shan, son of Jedi Master Satele Shan. It follows Shan’s quest to stop the war from restarting and the series gives us a good back story to the game, SWTOR and an idea of the type of storytelling we can expect from BioWare in SWTOR. Even if you have yet to read the first two issues of the Lost Suns, then you…

SWTOR Pre-Orders will open on July 21st and other Rumors

The rumor mills were buzzing yesterday and today about pre-orders, pricing, collector’s editions and release date announcements for SWTOR. First, we stumbled upon the screenshot of EA Support saying that Pre-Orders would open on July 21st: Then we also got a report about a pre-order placed with the online retailer hmv.com being cancelled. This was presumably because there will be new, upcoming news about preorders. Our belief is that they buyers first bought it for 26.99£ but now the price will be more like 35£.   With Spanish and Polish retailers putting out info about the pre-order, it seems like this was more than just another rumor in the rumor mill. One of the more interesting screen shots shows the Collector’s Edition package. Gamestop was another retailer that put out early info about the pre-order that was later was removed. According to Gamestop’s site, the Collector’s Edition will run for…

The Lost Suns Comic Review

I was super excited to get my hands on my own copy of Star Wars: The Old Republic- The Lost Sons comic and just as excited to meet Alexander Freed himself. On the ride back home, I was already reading my comic. I can see why they said the comic would be of interest to anyone planning to play TOR as well. This is the first of a five-issue comic book series about Theron Shan and it contains a lot of lore and background for the game. As Freed said on the official TOR forums, “”I like to describe The Lost Suns as our ‘ninth story’ — every class in The Old Republic tells its own Star Wars epic, and Theron’s tale intersects with the other eight and pushes the greater game story forward, just as they do.“ Right from the first page of beautiful artwork, the comic sets up…

Star Wars Battlefront Clone Army Updates Coming to today

Star Wars Battlefront II is Making a Comeback—5 Years After Its Last Update

Something strange is happening in a galaxy not so far away. Against all odds, Star Wars Battlefront II—a game that hasn’t received a content update since 2020—is back in PlayStation’s top 20 most downloaded PS4 games. In January 2025, it ranked 14th. In February, it landed at 20th. That’s three consecutive months in the top charts, a feat it hasn’t achieved in almost five years. For a multiplayer shooter that was practically written off post-2020, that’s pretty wild. So, what in the name of Palpatine’s wrinkly forehead is going on here? Let’s dig into why Battlefront II is enjoying a resurrection more shocking than Darth Maul surviving being cut in half. The Power of Star Wars Never Dies Let’s be real: Star Wars could release a potato with a lightsaber, and people would still be interested. The franchise is a juggernaut, spanning movies, TV shows, books, comics, and, of course,…

An Analysis of the Financial Burden of Training in the Jedi Order

The Cost of Being a Jedi: An Analysis of the Financial Burden of Training in the Jedi Order

The Jedi Order, as depicted in the Star Wars universe, is a revered organization of mystical warriors who uphold justice and peace in the galaxy. But have you ever wondered about the financial cost of becoming a Jedi? The iconic lightsabers and starships that are so closely associated with the Jedi Order surely come with a hefty price tag. In this article, we will take a closer look at the financial burden of training in the Jedi Order. Let’s start with the most iconic item in a Jedi’s arsenal: the lightsaber. According to Star Wars lore, lightsabers are built by the Jedi themselves, using kyber crystals as the focusing lens. While the kyber crystals are said to be rare and difficult to obtain, it is unclear whether they are actually expensive in the Star Wars universe. However, the materials needed to build a lightsaber – such as the hilt, power…

The Power and Mystery of the Dark Saber: An In-Depth Look at the Iconic Star Wars Weapon

The Power and Mystery of the Dark Saber: An In-Depth Look at the Iconic Star Wars Weapon

The dark saber is a weapon that is shrouded in mystery and legend within the Star Wars universe. It is a black-bladed lightsaber that was wielded by the first Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla. The dark saber was created over a thousand years before the events of the Star Wars films, in a time when the Jedi Order was still young and exploring the possibilities of their powers. Tarre Vizsla was a member of the Jedi Order who hailed from the planet Mandalore, which was known for its warrior culture and martial prowess. Vizsla was able to harness the power of the Force and channel it into a weapon that was unlike any other lightsaber. The dark saber’s blade is unique in that it is black in color, rather than the typical blue or green of most lightsabers. This is due to the fact that the dark saber was created using…

DICE is Working on Something New for Star Wars Battlefront II

No, it’s not new content (yet), but we did see an update that DICE is working on something new for Star Wars Battlefront II. The long-awaited update that focuses on both cosmetics and a new game mode is finally here. With it can a customization system and microtransaction. This is different from the original plan for microtransactions (that made players angry) because it will be used for cosmetics only – nothing that will help you gain an advantage in the actual game. This has been a long-standing request from the community and they’ve finally delivered, so say goodbye to pay-to-win scenarios. So, now what’s happening with Battlefront II? Since the update is out, are they all done with content at this time? Maybe not. There’s also been an ongoing request for squad system improvements. The current squad system is very basic and players have been asking for more. Basically, you just…

The final trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is here

Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War.” Check it out above! This trailer is not quite as downbeat as the previous one, though it certainly does include several shots of our heroes in major peril, like Thanos (Josh Brolin) squeezing Thor’ (Chris Hemsworth) head and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) being tortured by an unknown subvillain. Not to mention, of course, the big shot in which Captain America (Chris Evans) goes one-on-one against Thanos. Still, while the previous trailer was entirely serious and epic and terrifying, this final “Infinity War” trailer manages to slip in some jokes, as well as our heroes seemingly actually hatching a plan to deal with Thanos using the Infinity Stones as bait. Exciting! We can’t wait to see the Guardians of the Galaxy help defend Earth with the Avengers. “Avengers: Infinity War” is due out in theaters April 27 Related Posts EA…
